Marmeeting is one of the most emblematic competitions for all Cliff Divers. For some of us, it is the first Championship where we get invited, and we get to dive in this amazing location in the Amalfi Coast, the bridge on the Fiordo of Furore, where we are received with wonderful hospitality by the organisers and the many locals we get to know year by year.
After a thrilling first round, where every diver was ripping their dives, I managed to get into second place with my handstand in the second round. For my last dive, I did my Front Twist without the running take off, and although it wasn't my best, it was enough to keep the 2nd Place.
Hats off to Andy Jones (USA), winner of the 31st Marmeeting edition with 3 impecable dives.
The beginning of the Red Bull Cliff Diving Season is not going as I expected, ending up with 11th position in the two first events, Inis Mor and Azores.
A lot of competitions still ahead, so working of focusing in my dives!
We are very lucky to have the chance to train (and also have some adventure on the side!) in Area47, a paradise park in the Austrian mountains for adrenaline lovers, with the only facility in the world with a permanent 27m diving tower!
After a few months without diving from 27m, it was challenging to adjust my dives again. Fortunately, the hard work and sacrifices paid off, and I took home a 3rd place! It was tight, as Jonathan Paredes was less than a point behind me, but glad it ended up on my favor, every detail in every dive counts!
